There are imminent gales currently forecast that impacts on fishing in Iceland, Norway, Shetlands, and the Faroes. This lowers landing percentages of species such as cod, haddock, hake, coley, and pollack. However, our buyers have prepared for this and we do have these species available.

The gales are also affecting the harvesting of farmed halibut in Norway and Loch Duart salmon. Harvests have been postponed temporarily while the storm passes. Harvesting should resume within 24 to 48 hours. Speak to your account managers about alternatives.

Fishing around the south coast is currently unaffected, and we are seeing local landings in Brixham of plaice, wild sea bass, brill, lemon sole, gurnard, monkfish and scallops.
