The hospitality industry continues to struggle under acute cost pressure – a challenge that is also being felt throughout the supply chain. If it were not enough to contend with spiralling utility and labour costs in addition to increases in rent and rates, there is now political unrest in the middle east. The conflict has caused diesel prices to rise by over 30% which impacts all areas of distribution. In our business we continue to take steps to mitigate the effects, and we encourage all customers to talk to their account managers to discuss ways in which they can take advantage of increased efficiency in our supply model.
